Off-white neoprene is a little bit softer than black one and often used subject to its surface color. In other words, in order not to show off neoprene's black color from the surface fabric, off-white neoprene is used. This also makes the fabric colors sharper and brighter. In most occassions, we recommend to use our swatch colors ( red, pink, green, navy blue, dark blue, purple, black ) to avoid using off-white neoprene for the purpose of lowering your cost. | | | Neoprene's cost is closely associately with world economy and oil market and is all the way rising. Neoprene is charged by thickness - unit is 0.5mm. Usually 1.5mm to 4mm is used. Thinner or thicker than this range is more expensive. It's not molded into the thickness needed, but sliced from a 10cm thick ( or thicker ) neoprene by machine. Similar to slicing a thin piece from a ham. So it's with a 5% thicker or thinner in the shipment which is generally accepted worldwide. Then comes to the next step - lamination. | | | It's always with two layers of material laminated on Neoprene's 2 sides, say polyester, nylon, brocade, canvas, fluffy or even PU. "Polyester + Neoprene" is always used for sublimation and products which are not necessary for super elastic - say laptop sleeves, cellphone cases, can koozies, whereas "Nylon + Neoprene" is always used for wetsuit and body support - say knee support. Cost is higher for sure. Brocade, canvas, fluffy and PU are often demanded for novelties. | | | After lamination, there is always strong glue smell emission from neoprene which is inevitable. . We always keep it in ventilated place for a few days before production. This is very important. On the one hand, it's for purpose of glue smell emission, on the other hand, neoprene shrinks a little at this time and only after its shrinkage, can we move to the next step - Die cut. | | | Normally, we put 2 layers of neoprene on board for die-cut. This saves a little cost for us and of course directly for you. After this, neoprene is either sent to screen printing factory for screen printing logo on or processed the sublimation if applicable or simply move to sewing and after this, we do quality control for the whole shipment and replace the defectives. | | | below are some photos of our neoprene products, | | | | | | |
